Forum on Inclusion of Gays in the Conservative Movement

-  What: Quebec Street Forum at Adas Israel with Rabbi Kassell Abelson (Chairman of the Rabbinical Assembly Committee on Jewish Law and Standards) and Rabbi Jeffrey Wohlberg (VP of the Rabbinical Assembly, Chairman of a committee to study the application of the Law Committee’s decisions and Senior Rabbi at Adas Israel Congregation).

The Rabbinical Assembly (the international association of Conservative rabbis) Committee on Jewish Law and Standards recently determined to allow the ordination of gay rabbis and the celebration of same-sex commitment ceremonies. Learn about: the legal and social contexts of the determination, the challenges and opportunities it presents for the Conservative Movement, and procedures and plans.

Audience participation and questions welcome. Program presented by the World Jewish Affairs Committee, sponsored by the Marilyn & Stefan Tucker Program Endowment Fund and free and open to the public.
