The Agudah Reaches Out
The Agudah has announced the formation of the American Friends of the Agudah (AFA), which is to educate Americans on the important role of the Agudah in representing Israel’s GLBT community.
The AFA was incorporated in 2001, and has obtained IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, which allows for contributions from Americans to the AFA to be considered tax deductible to the extent the law allows.
Questions about the AFA can be addressed directly to Stuart Kurlander: stuart dot kurlander at lw dot com.
As part of the Agudah’s outreach program, it is making the Zman Varod (Pink Times) magazine available to GLBT Jews worldwide through community centers and libraries serving a Hebrew-speaking population. Charges are US$35 a year for community centers and libraries and US$70 for individuals, the latter including membership in the Agudah.
The Zman Varod is the Agudah’s GBLT monthly publication featuring news, articles and information about the GBLT communities in Israel.
